Terms and Conditions
Effective date: 14 August 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of ProfitLab Journal, a digital trading-journal application provided under the ProfitLab Journal brand. By creating an account, purchasing access, or using the product, you agree to these terms.
1. Product purpose
ProfitLab Journal helps users record trades, review performance, manage risk settings, track psychology and analyze trading activity. It is an educational and organizational tool only. It does not provide investment, brokerage, tax, legal or financial advice, and it does not guarantee trading results.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate account information, keep your login credentials confidential and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. The product is intended for users aged 18 or older.
3. Purchase and lifetime access
The advertised purchase is a one-time payment for a personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use the available ProfitLab Journal service. “Lifetime access” means access for the commercial lifetime of the product while the service is maintained; it does not guarantee operation for any individual’s lifetime or perpetual availability of every feature.
4. Payments and taxes
Checkout is provided by Paddle, which acts as Merchant of Record for supported transactions. Paddle processes payment information, calculates applicable taxes and issues receipts under its buyer terms. ProfitLab Journal does not receive or store complete card details. Prices displayed before checkout may include or exclude taxes depending on the buyer’s location, as shown by Paddle.
5. Refunds
Refunds and statutory withdrawal rights are governed by our Refund Policy, Paddle’s applicable buyer terms and mandatory consumer law. A completed refund may result in deactivation of product access.
6. User content and backups
You retain ownership of the trading information, notes and other content you enter. You grant us only the rights required to host, process, synchronize and display that content to you. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate personal exports or backups and for ensuring that submitted content is lawful and does not infringe third-party rights.
7. Acceptable use
You may not resell, sublicense, share paid access, bypass payment or account controls, probe or attack the service, introduce malicious code, scrape the product at scale, or reverse engineer it except where applicable law expressly permits. Accounts involved in fraud, abuse or security threats may be restricted or suspended.
8. Availability and updates
We may update the product, correct errors, change features or perform maintenance. We aim to preserve customer data and core functionality, but uninterrupted or error-free service cannot be guaranteed. Material changes that affect user rights will be communicated through the website or account experience where reasonably practicable.
9. Third-party services
The service relies on providers including Supabase for authentication and cloud data, Cloudflare for hosting and delivery, Brevo for transactional email and Paddle for checkout and payment administration. Their services may be subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
10. Disclaimer and limitation
Trading involves significant risk. Decisions made using information recorded or calculated in ProfitLab Journal remain solely your responsibility. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ProfitLab Journal is not liable for trading losses, lost profits, indirect damages or decisions made on the basis of journal data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.
11. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend access for a serious breach of these terms, fraud, unlawful activity or a material security risk. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
12. Applicable rights and disputes
These terms are subject to applicable law and do not remove mandatory consumer protections available in your country of residence. Please contact us first so we can attempt to resolve any concern. Payment and refund matters may also be handled directly by Paddle as Merchant of Record.
